Enable Community Editing Rights on an App

Community Editing is a feature that enables specific users to contribute content to your App.  Users need to sign-in to be able to contribute and only after approval of the content has been granted will it appear on the end-user website.

  1. In Site Manager, navigate to the workspace where you wish to enable Community Editing.
  2. Click Action the right of the page and select Edit Page from the drop-down list. The page opens in Edit Mode.
  3. Click on the app to open it.
  4. Click Options.  A new window displays.
  5. Click Social Settings tab.  The Social Settings options display.
  6. Click Community Editing.  The Community Editing Rights tab displays.
  7. Click Community Editing Rights tab.  TheCommunity Editing Rights window display.
  8. To assign Community Editing Rights to Individual Users:
    1. Click Assign User. The Add User dialog displays.
    2. Enter all or part of the users first, last, or username in the Search field.
    3. Click Search. Matching names display.
    4. Click Select to the right of the user to whom you wish to assign Community Editing Rights.The selected users display Selected Users area of the window.
    5. After searching for and selecting all desired users, click Add. The Community Editing Rights tab displays with the names of the individual users listed.
    6. Click Save. The App displays.
  9. To assign Community Editing Rights with Groups of Users:
    1. Click Assign Group.  The Add Group dialog displays.
    2. Enter all or part of the Group name in the search field.
    3. Click Search. Matching group names display.
    4. To filter Groups by Group Category, select the desired Group Category from the drop-down list.  All Groups for that Group Category display.
    5. Click Select to the right of the Group. The selected Group display in the Selected Groups area of the window.
    6. After searching for and selecting all desired groups of users, click Add. The Community Editing Rights tab displays with the names of the Groups listed.
    7. Click Save. The App displays.
