Enable RSS Feeds for an App

Enable RSS Feeds for an App By: Chris Gallagher

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a standardized format that permits visitors to subscribe to website content. The subscription is called a feed.

If your Site Director or System Administrator has enabled RSS feeds for your website, you will be able to activate RSS feeds for your RSS-enabled apps.

Once visitors subscribe to an RSS feed, they see links to content or actual content within their aggregators of choice.

Here's how you enable RSS Feeds.

  1. In Site Manger, navigate to the workspace where you wish to enable the RSS Feed.
  2. Click Actions to the right of the page and select Edit Page from the drop-down list. The page opens in Edit Mode.
  3. Click on the appropriate app. The app opens.
  4. Click Options.  The App Options dialog appears.
  5. Click the Social Settings tab. Social Settings options display.
  6. Activate the RSS Feeds check box.
  7. Click Save.
