Set MiniBase Data Field Filters

Here's how you set filters for the data fields of a MiniBase App.

  1. In Site Manager, navigate to the workspace where the MiniBase App is located.
  2. Click the Tools tab.
  3. Select MiniBase.
  4. In the App Instances column, click on your MiniBase instance.
  5. In the Details column, click More.
  6. From the More Drop-Down list, select Edit App Options.
  7. Click the Fields tab. Each field has a Filter Type, Sort Order and Sort Level column.
  8. Click on Filter Type and select an option from the drop-down list.
    • Use None to turn off Filter Type.
    • Use Free Form to allow website visitors to search by entering text.
    • Use Drop Down to allow website visitors to pick search values from a list.
  9. Click Sort Order and select an option from the drop-down list.
    • Use None to turn off Sort Order.
    • Use Ascending to sort output alphabetically starting with a.
    • Use Descending to sort output alphabetically starting with z.
  10. Click Sort Level and select an option from the drop-down list. You can have four sort levels.
    • Use None to turn off Sort Level.
    • Select 1 to choose to sort output first by a data field (Primary Sort).
    • Select 2 to add a second sort level by a data field (Secondary Sort).
    • Select 3 and 4 to further delineate sorting.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Click I'm Done.
