Map a Site Shortcut to a File

Here's how you map a Site Shortcut link to a File.

  1. In Site Manager, navigate to the workspace containing the Site Shortcut app.
  2. Click the Tools tab. The list of available Tools displays.
  3. Click Files & Folders. The Files & Folders window displays.
  4. Click Upload. The Upload File dialog displays.
  5. Click Browse. The Select File to Upload dialog displays.
  6. Browse for you file and select it.
  7. Click Open. The Upload File dialog displays.
  8. Click Upload. The Files & Folders window displays with the uploaded file.
  9. Click More and select Get Link from the drop-down list. The Get Web Address dialog displays.
  10. Highlight and copy either the Full Web Address or the Relative Web Address.
  11. Click Close. The Files & Folders window displays.
  12. Close Files & Folders.
  13. Click the Summary tab for the workspace.
  14. Click Actions to the right of the page containing the Site Shortcut app and select Edit Page from the drop-down list. The page opens in Edit Mode.
  15. Click the Site Shortcuts App. The app opens.
  16. Click New Link to create a new Site Shortcut or click Edit to edit an existing Site Shortcut.
  17. Paste the Web Address you copied from Files & Folders into the Web Address Field.
  18. Select Open in New Window (_blank) from the Target drop-down to ensure the website opens in a new window.
  19. Complete or modify the rest of the fields as needed.
  20. Click Save. The Site Shortcut is updated and you are returned to the workspace.
